So...yes. I'm making a game called Tap Tap Woosh.
This is still work in progress. I've been playing around with making a "tapping game". So this came out. Cause, you know, this is clearly the logical use of these animal assets.
It's not going to win any awards for best game ever made, but it's something.
Instead of describing anything, I think I will just leave you with this for today. Lots of polish work still left to do before it's ready on Google Play Store.
Gawain's blog. Tends to be about games he's played, games he's making, or just something he has to say (which is also 90% of the time about games).

Infinitroid - 64 Jam postmortem
It's been another 64x64 jam, and I made Infinitroid. It's a mini-tribute to Metroid, made using a tool called Pico8. Players can enter 1 of 32 possible codes, and a map gets generated to play through. The game takes about 30 min to 45 on average to finish a run. When you win, you get a "high score" screen showing your time and completion percentage, and the code so you can share it with others to see if they can beat your speedrun.
I'll spare the technical details and just drop the link here. Go play it! The game runs in browser, and is open sourced! P8 file can be downloaded for free or pay what you want.
